NEWS RELEASE – 8/07/2021
North Queensland Survivor proves to world she is STRONG…
Inspirational Survivor turned Entrepreneur is launching her first book, STRONG. The aim is to help motivate people to chase the life of their dreams, regardless of the trials and tribulations they face. This is especially important during our world-wide Coronavirus pandemic as Anxiety, Depression and other mental disorders are on the rise and people are finding it much easier to become withdrawn from their community. Whether you are young or old, have a Traumatic Brain Injury or are the highest functioning person on earth, this book has something for everyone.
According to the Quad Related Deaths and Injuries Report carried out by the Australian Centre for Agricultural Health and Safety, in 2013 alone there were 11 quad related deaths and 32 Quad Related Incidents that occurred in Queensland alone. Doctors said she would never be a functioning member of society again and Amy then took it upon herself to prove everyone wrong. Amy highlights the power behind the ‘Survivor’ mindset and pushing yourself as hard as you are willing and able to push to create the life of your dreams. She wants to show others that life is what you make it, that you, and only you are in control of your own happiness and NOBODY can take that away from you.
According to Hinchinbrook’s MP Nick Dametto “This determined young woman has taken on board the hand she was dealt and made it work. Amy has fought back during her rehab and recovery and has proved hard work and determination pays off.”
This book takes readers through her personal journey. It also offers advice for other survivors, those who have suffered or are suffering from a traumatic event, on how to look past such an event and create a life they love. Amy’s wish is that her book becomes a survival guide for others.
